Kalaburagi is educationally, socially and economically challenging in the so called backward district of Hyderabad Karnataka region. Government of Karnataka has taken lot of initiation to encourage the women entrepreneurs through industrial policies. Special incentives has been provided in the new industrial polices 2014-19 for Hyderabad Karnataka region. To make use of State and Central Govt. polices and strengthen the women folk of this region, Karnataka Ladies Association and Manufactures’ Park (K-LAMP) was established. It has been established with an objective to promote prospective entrepreneur and support existing entrepreneurs of Hyderabad Karnataka region. In this part, women are involved in the production, services and business related activities in scattered small scale manner. Many women are also interested to involve themselves into the new enterprising ventures. They need to be trained in an integrated systematic approach in different sectors through seminars, workshops, process and product oriented programs. K- Lamp is registered CIN-U74999KA2016NPL097315 dated 21-10-2016. There are 200 registered members, 21 board of directors and 05 office bearers in the association.
About one acre of land in II phase of Nandur, Kesaratagi Industrial area, Kalaburagi, common facilities centre like incubation centre, training centre, product development centre, testing laboratories and seminar halls etc., will house in this association under MSCDP schemes, Govt. of Karnataka, the KLAMP is proposed to be established. Further, exclusive women park with an extent of 50 acres of land will be established. The plots of 5000 sft will be earmark to each entrepreneur for establishment of micro and small scale industries. The women entrepreneur park will be developed in KIDB Industrial area with the help of state and central Govt. assistance.
Three days workshop sponsored by KSTU, exposure visit to ALEAP sponsored by VTPC, Technical seminars by HKCCI, Workshops by CFTRI were few important initiatives. Team of ladies entrepreneurs is also visiting IITF, New Delhi on 18th Nov 2016.
